September 24th, 2000 Aktivate goes live on Sourceforge!
April 24th, 2000 Version 1.02 goes live! This is a major leap forward for Aktivate. Briefly the new features are:
  • More secure
  • Easier to install - we now have a new CLI & GUI installer that takes all the hassle out of the database stuff
  • Far simpler to change the Look and Feel with new templates.

February 28th, 2000 Put up the Registration Servlet. Hopefully this will become a newsletter service in the future.
February 6th, 2000 Put up the new logo, very smart methnks! Change the cart processor so that it amalgamates multiple items of the same product code into a single entry in the cart. Enhancement to allow spaces in card numbers and to format card numbers with spaces also put live.
January 24th, 2000 Modify the Mysqlperl demo to use Aktivate as a Jobsearch engine. This demonstrates the flexibility of the system because only the presentation layer changed. Aktivate can be used for straight catalogue applications as well as transaction capture.
January 20th, 2000 Upload a few minor bug fixes.
January 16th, 2000 Put CatMan the Category Manager live. Category manipulation is now much, much easier.
January 15th, 2000 Put the DBI/DBD version live. Mysqlperl based development will now halt.
January 10th, 2000 Begin porting AKtivate to use the DBI/DBD database interface instead of Mysqlperl.
